The brief

Give a specialist coffee business room to grow.

Three Llamas Coffee needed an online presence that communicated the quality of its coffee while making shopping, subscriptions and business enquiries easier.

Suzy rebuilt the entire website on Shopify, using the Evening theme as the foundation and creating the page layouts, content and customer journeys from scratch.

The business set an ambitious goal of 1,000% online growth. The website and affiliate programme were developed to support that ambition; this is a growth target, rather than a measured result or guarantee.

The work

Every part of the customer journey, considered.

This project extended beyond website design. It brought together content, product merchandising, recurring purchases, email marketing, search visibility and new routes to customers.

A complete Shopify rebuild, with original page content, navigation and layouts shaped around the business.

Make buying easier

Clearer product information, useful collections and a more suitable subscription setup.

Search visibility

SEO and AI search,
built into the content.

Search work focused on making the site easier for customers and search systems to understand, with clear information about the products, business and services.

  • Added meta titles and descriptions across pages and products.
  • Added descriptive ALT text to images.
  • Created a dedicated FAQ page and FAQ structured data.
  • Developed product descriptions around flavour, brewing methods, roast style and origin.
  • Updated blog content for SEO and answer-focused search.
  • Verified Google Search Console.
  • Addressed old URLs, redirects and 404 issues during the move to Shopify.

These improvements support discoverability. Rankings, AI citations and traffic depend on search platforms and ongoing activity.

Subscriptions

A better fit for the business and its customers.

Replaced the previous Bold subscription setup with Appstle, implementing a new subscription model better suited to Three Llamas and the way its customers buy coffee.

  • Tested the migration before moving existing subscriptions.
  • Configured subscription offers and ongoing savings.
  • Updated the subscription widget and customer-facing information.
  • Coordinated the move away from Bold and disabled its old emails.
  • Worked through shipping, pickup and discount interactions.
  • Supported improvements to the customer subscription management experience.
Affiliate marketing

A new way to reach coffee lovers.

Implemented Shopify Collabs to give Three Llamas a structured way to work with creators and grow its online reach.

The programme was designed around New Zealand creators, with an application page, supporting content and a clear offer.

  • Configured the creator commission offer.
  • Created the affiliate application page and linked it in navigation.
  • Organised eligible products for affiliate promotion.
  • Worked through newsletter, subscription and affiliate discount interactions.
  • Created a detailed affiliate blog explaining the brand, products and how to take part.
  • Tested the application journey.
